Antonio has a kite, in the directions on how to put the kite together it says that the drawing is to scale where 10 cm = 1 meter. If the kite when put together is 1.5 m. Tall, how tall is it in the drawing?

Answer: 15cm.

Hi, to answer this question we have to multiply the real height of the kite (1.5m) by the scale factor of the drawing (10):

Mathematically speaking:

Since 1 m = 10 cm

So:

1.5 m x 10 cm/m = 15 cm

The kite is 15 centimeters tall in the drawing.
