Answer: The question is find the test statistic

Answer: The test statistic is 0.5282

Explanation:

Hypothesized mean u =69.3 , sample size (n) = 140, sample mean x = 69.8 , standard deviation s = 11.2

H₀: u = 69.3 bpm,

Hₐ: u ≠ 69.3

The test statistic is given by = (x-u / (s/√n). Thus we have,

(69.8 - 69.3) / (11.2/√140)

0.5 / (11.2/11.832)

= 0.5/0.9466

= 0.5282.
