Answer:

y = 3

x = -4

Explanation:

Hopefully the first equation is x + 3y = 5

x = 5 - 3y

Plug in:

-2(5 - 3y) + 2y = 14

-10 + 6y + 2y = 14

8y = 24

y = 3

x = -4
