Since each side are congruent, you set the two sides to each other
7x-12=3x
Subtract 7x from both sides
-12=-4x
Divide -4 from both sides
3=x
3+3+3=9
18. 28
2x-3=3x-10
Add 10 on both sides
2x+7=3x
Subtract 2x on both sides
7=x
7+7+7+7=28
