Why is genetic engineering possible?

Advanced technology allows humans to determine new traits for organisms

Because cells can be forced to reproduce at much faster rates than normal

The answer is: the genetic code is shared by all organisms.

Explanation: Genetic engineering means changing the DNA sequence by adding DNA from another source. We can easily insert DNA into another organism/ bacteria because they share the same genetic code/base paring rules. Genetic code include: Adenine with thymine and cytosine with guanine.

Hope this helped! :)
