The height of a cylinder is 4 centimeters. The circumference of the base of the cylinder is 36(pi). Which measurement is closest to the volume of the cylinder in cubic centimeters? *Hint- Use the circumference formula to find the radius of the base of the cylinder, then apply the volume formula!

Answer: The volume of the cylinder is 4069.44 cm^3

Explanation:

So first you have to know that 36 is the diameter of the cylinder because circumference is pi times the diameter.

So now we know the diameter of the cylinder so we will divide the diameter by 2 to find the radius because radius is half the diameter.

36/2= 18

Now we know the radius is 18 now we will use the formula for the volume of a cylinder which is V= n*r^2*h we know the height and the radius.

V= 3.14* 324* 4

v= 4069.44 cm^3
