Why is mass a better unit for measuring matter than weight?

Weight is a force rather than a measure of the amount of matter something contains. The same amount of matter can have different weights depending on where it is. Mass directly measures the amount of matter present and remains the same no matter where it’s measured

Answer:

Mass is a fixed entity and it's not influenced by gravitational pull unlike weight

Step-by-step explanation:

This means the weight taking at planet mass would be different than that on earth because there is no gravitational pull.

Hence mass is fixed but weight varies.
