To find the surface area of a right cone:

⇒ must know the formula =
\pi rs+\pi r^2

  • s: slant height
  • r: length of radius of the ciruclar base

(look at the diagram I attached for a better explanation)

Let's look at the information given:

  • r: radius length: 6ft
  • s: slant height: 10

Let's solve:


Surface-Area=\pi *6*10+\pi* 6^2=60\pi +36\pi =96\pi = 301.592ft^2

Thus the surface area of the shape given is 301.59 square feet

Answer: 301.59 square feet
