Explanation:

Slope-intercept: y=mx+b

We have a slope, but we do not have an y-intercept. However, we do have a coordinate point. We can use this coordinate point to find the y-intercept. We can use -9 for x and 5 for y.

5=(2)/(3) (-9)+b

Multiplt 2/3 by -9.

5=6+b

Subtract 6 on both sides of the equation so we can get b by itself.

-1=b

So, your y-intercept is -1.

Now that we have our slope and our y-intercept, we can construct our slope-intercept equation.

y=(2)/(3)x-1
