Answer:

perimeter= 52 feet

area = 144

Explanation:

In a rectangular there is 4 sides. 2 of them are lengths and 2 of them are widths.

perimeter= 2length+2width

1 yard= 3 feet

length=6 yards or 18 feet.

(multiply 6 yards by 3 feet and you'll get 18 feet)

width = 8 feet

Now that we have the length and width in the same unit measurements we can use the perimeter formula (perimeter = 2length+ 2 width)

So, the perimeter will be equals to the length (18 feet) times 2 and the width (8 feet) times 2.

perimeter = 2(18 feet) + 2(8 feet)

perimeter= 36 feet + 16 feet

perimeter= 52 feet

Now we're looking for the area of the rectangular

The formula for area of a rectangualar is length times width

Area= length*width

we already have the length and width all we have to do is plug them in to the formula

Area= 18feet * 8 feet

Area = 144 feet
