Step-by-step explanation:

The day is September 20, 1519. We set sail from Spain in one of Ferdinand Magellan's five ships. We were on an expedition to find a western sea route to the spice islands of Indonesia. Our ships carrying 270 men, was commanded by Magellan.

We sailed to West Africa and then to Brazil. We searched for a strait on the South American coast that would take us to the Pacific Ocean. Our search was at a large estuary in Brazil. On Easter day, some of our Spanish captains mutinied against Magellan but were defeated and executed. In a couple of days, we found the strait which became known as the strait of Magellan. Three ships were left. Finally we found the Pacific Ocean. Magellan later died after we got involved in a fight for an Indonesian chief. Our ship, Victoria, sailed back to Spain on September 1522, becoming the first ship to round the world.
