The first graph is not a function because it just has plotted points, not graph to actually represent it

The other two graphs we would be able to determine the function that makes each one

  • For example the second graph is an absolute value function (y = |x|) while the third graph is an x = function ( x = 3 )

A function cannot be figured out with only the points in the first graph
