Sasha went shopping and decided to purchase a set of bracelets for 5% off the regular price ($44.00). If Sasha buys the bracelets today, she will save an additional %. Find the sales price of the set of bracelets with both discounts. How much money will Sasha save if she buys the bracelets today?

(hint #1: The answer is NOT $30.80)
(hint #2: First take 25% off, use the new price and take 5% off)

To the other person who answered this question, sorry but you are wrong. The answer is NOT $31. Here is why:

The three percentages are 25%, 75%, and 5%, because you also want to find how much the person who sells the bracelets received. Write those as a normal proportion with 44 as the whole, except for 5%. The proportion for 5% is 5/100=x/x because since you already know the answer to 25% and 75%, we add the 5% later. Then it’ll become 5/100=x/35, which x for 5% equals to 1.65. The answer for 25% is 11, so we add them together: 11+1.65=12.65. Your final answer should be $12.65
