6 * x^9

Explanation:

Powers that are on variables when multiplied are added.

You need good grammar to see what that means.

x is a variable.

Suppose the question was x^a * x ^b then the result would be x^(a + b)

So in your case x^4 times x^5 = x^(4 + 5) = x^9

The two literals (2 and 3) are just multiplied the way you always have done it.

2*3 = 6

So the answer is 6 times x to the 9th

Way to go on being able to handle latex. Anyone who can do latex shouldn't have any trouble with math.
