Firstly , we need to know the total number of caps

we have 5 bill caps and 3 beanies.

Total number of caps = 5 + 3 = 8 caps

The probability of picking the first bill cap is 5/8

Now after removing this and not replacing, we have 4 bill caps left and 3 beanies

Total cap remaining is 7 caps while the probability of picking a bill cap now is 4/7

The combined probability is thus 5/8 * 4/7 = 5/14
