This is for the book A Long Walk to Water. If your reading this and your not up to chapter 7. Dont look down unless you want spoilers.

Can somebody answer this? I lost the book, and I don't have another copy.

In chapter 7, fear grips Salva at the loss of Mariel; however, with his uncle’s assurance and positive spirit he is able to keep Salva stable. How does Salva overcome his fear in chapter 7?

Answer:

His uncle continuously tells him to just keep on going, that he only needs to make it one step further. In other words, his uncle provides him with checkpoints to help keep his spirits up.

P.S.: There are many PDFs or online libraries where A Long Walk to Water is available, good luck!
