A sandwich shop loses $1.20 every time somebody buys a sandwich, but makes $1.80 every time somebody buys a drink. One day, the shop sells 100 drinks. Which inequality can you use to find possible numbers of sandwiches that it could sell and still make a profit of more than $100? A:1.2x – 100(1.8) > 100 B:100(1.2) + 1.8x > 100 C:100(1.2) – 1.8x > 100 D:100(1.8) – 1.2x > 100

Answer:

A, B, and C

I think. Please let me know if wrong.

Heres what i did:

1.8 x 100 = 180.

180 - 80 = 100

(they made over 100 in profit)

A. 1.2 x 0 = 0

B. 1.2 x 40 - 48

C. 1.2 x 60 = 72

D. 1.2 x 70 = 84

E. 1.2 x 80 =96

D and E bot Exceed 80 so it has to be AB and C

Hope this Helps ☺
