Calculate the hydrogen-ion concentration [H+] for an aqueous solution in which the hydroxide-ion concentration [OH-] is 1 x 10^-10 mol/L. Is this solution acidic, basic or neutral? Please show work. *

Answer:

pH = -(log 10^-10)

= -(-10)

=10

so the solution is basic in nature
