What is the slope of the line that passes through the points m(2,4) and N(-5,-3) on a coordinate plane?

I believe the slope is 1.

Explanation:

using the points, (2,4) and (-5,-3), I tried to find out the difference in point if both x and y spots. Then I figured out that the space between -5 and 2( the x-coordinates) is 7, and the space between 4 and -3( the y-coordinates) is 7 as well. No I add these numbers into y/x which is 7/7 and that so happens to be equal to 1 as a whole number.
