Slope-intercept form: y = mx + b
y -3 = -4(x - 5)
y- 3 = -4x -5*(-4)
y - 3 = -4x + 20
y = -4x + 20 + 3
y = -4x + 23
On comparing with the y=mx+b,
Slope = m = -4
