Explanation:

$3 = 330 \\ 1 = (330)/(3) \\ \: \: \: \: \: = 110 \\ \\ \\ x = 550 \\ 1 = 110 \\ cross \: \: multiple \\ 550 = 110x \\ (550)/(110) = (110x)/(110) \\ x = 5$
