Answer:

x = -1.7, or x = -17/10

Explanation:

f(x) = 9.2 + 6x + 1 is a linear function and as such (and because the slope is not zero) has only one solution. Combining like terms, we get

f(x) = 10.2 + 6x = 0 (you must set this equal to zero if solving for zero(s).

Then 6x = -10.2, and x = -1.7, or x = -17/10
