Shape of garden = hexagonal= 6 sides and all sides are equal

The perimeter of a regular hexagon = 6×a

Where a = length of one of the sides , since the sides are equal.

Cost of edging = perimeter size (in feet) * cost per foot

Cost of edging = 6a * $2

Therefore, cost of edging = $12a

Where a = length of it's side in feet.
