Based on what you know about feedback mechanisms in the endocrine system, explain why

the body of an athlete who takes an artificial form of testosterone, such as a steroid, might stop
producing his own testosterone.

This is an example of negative feedback, which is the slowing down or inhibition of a process to maintain homeostasis. In this specific case, the athlete already has enough testosterone from the artificial, so he’s going inhibit the production his own testosterone to maintain homeostasis by stop producing something that is no longer needed.
