Explanation:

The formula for the 2 bases is b*h

8*3=24

The surface area of the 2 bases is 24 yd²

Finding lateral surface area:

(5*12*2)+(8*12)=

120+96=

216 yd²

Now add the lateral surface area and the surface area of the bases:

216+24=240 yd²
