hi:) if the question says that the line meets the curve , does it mean that it intersects the curve or does it touch the curve only?

Answer:

Touches only.

Explanation:

It only touches the curve at one point. The line is a tangent to the curve and does not cross it.

If you have a ball resting on a table the table is a tangent to the curve of the ball.
