Answer:

A: The combo is 15% off

B: 144 people in theater 2

C: The popcorn would be $3.40

D: Suspect tried 30% of all types of candy

E: New price would be $5.04

F: Increase of 12.5% seats

G: 10% off coupon would save you $1.03

Explanation:

A:

The popcorn and the drinks without the combo is $8, but the combo is $6.80. That is a sale of 15% because 8*0.15 = 1.2. 8 - 1.2 = 6.80

B:

72% of 200 is 144.

So there are 144 people in theater 2.

C:

The popcorn's normal price is $4.50.

20% of $4.50 is $0.90. So if it was 20% off, the popcorn would be $3.40

D:

There are 25 different types of candy, if the suspect tried 6 types, then the suspect would have tried 30% of all the different types of candy

E:

The normal cost of the drink is $4.50. 12% of $4.50 is $0.54. So if the price increased by $0.54, then the price would be $5.04

F:

The normal amount of seat per theater is 200. If they add 25 more seats, that would be an increase of 12.5%.

G:

1 combo and 1 drink is $10.30. 10% of $10.30 is $1.03. So a 10% of coupon would save you $1.03.

Hope that helped! That took a while.
