Explanation:It is traditional, yes.....but!

We have many poems that have enjambment as a main feature, and so, you really dont have to start every line of your poem with a Capital letter, because when you are writing a poem, you write with your feelings, your thoughts and ideas. you really wont have time to make sure you started each line with a capital letter, now will you?
