Clear the circuit diagram and make a new circuit. Set the voltage of the battery to 9 V, set up a series circuit with three resistors. Set one resistor to 10 Ohms, the second resistor to 21 Ohms, and the third resistor to 13 Ohms. What is the equivalent resistance? What is the average current across the circuit?

The equivalent resistance of resistors in series is their sum.

(10+21+13)= 44 ohms.

I = V / R

I = (9v)/(44ohms)

I = 0.205 Ampere

Note: Current flows THROUGH a circuit, not "across" it. In a series circuit, the current is the same number at every single point.
