(3) Many other people have been suggested as the "true author" of the unforgettable dramas: Christopher Marlowe, the Earl of Southhampton, and even Queen Elizabeth herself! (4) But the debate over authorship has never been fully resolved. (5) The plays of Shakespeare, the Swan of the Avon still remain popular--no matter who wrote them!
