you can calm down with many things you just need to find the pays and it depends on the person

When you see that you've got an upset person in front of you, first do some self-care to calm yourself: Take a few long, slow, deep breaths. Let them out slowly, to relax yourself. If you're feeling shaky, feel the solidity of your feet on the ground. Stand up or sit up a bit straighter to boost your confidence.

Controlling and concentrating on you breath.

counting while breathing helps inhale in 4 to 8 seconds exhale how ever long repeat.

also after focusing on you breath think about what could've caused you to not be calm by stretching and controling your breath at the same time then do something about it so that agitated state of mind you were in won't happen as often.

if your around other people and cannot leave trying to calm down still control your breath and instead of stretching notice how when under stress and not being calm how your mussels are tense notice this and with each breath try to relax the mussles and alsoif possible taking a step away from people will help

thats what I do

For me and most people our state of mind can be controlled with your breath.
