What was the Holocaust and how many lives were lost because of it?

Answer:

The Holocaust was a period of time in history in which aproximately 6 million of Jews died. Thiis happened during the World War II, Jews were being killed by the Nazis because of what they believed in and many other reasons such as ethnicy and political beliefs. However Jews were not the only target, prisoners of conscience, people with physical and mental disabilities and others were also victims of this terrible event. These people were transported to ghettoes where they worked to death, died of starvation and disease or were killed by a toxic gas.

Holocaust was a genocide of European jews where thousands of people were killed inside the gas chambers and through the exploitations by Naziss

It is estimated that over 1 M people were killed.
