Transparent: light will completely pass through and is very visible through the transparent object. For example, sunlight through a window

Translucent: some light will pass through, will be somewhat visible. For example, if you put a flashlight or your phones flash against a piece of paper, the light will pass through but not as much as light through a window

Opaque: you will not be able to see light through an opaque object, for example, putting a flashlight against a large book or a rock. No light will pass through the object.

Transparent objects allow all the light to pass through them. Opaque ones allow no light to pass through. Translucent allows light to go through but the area in it is no visible to determine the object
