Background info and topic: Let’s talk about cell phones. Did you know that when my mom was a teenager she carried a phone in a bag? It was actually called a bag phone and it was four times the size of the ones we carry today. There were very few cell phone towers compared to what we have today. The phones they carried were analog phones and the ones we have today are digital. Digital phones are more secure and allow more users to use them in a coverage area.

Thesis statement: Technology has developed a lot in just a few short years.
Paragraph 1:Technology has evolved through millions of years with the efforts of man. It has made modern living fast, safe and comfortable. Today, it is possible to travel thousands of miles, within a couple of hours at the speed of sound. Thanks to transportation technology.

Paragraph 2:Johann Philipp Reis invented the very first phone. In 1983 it was 4,000 dollars! That's super expensive. The first phone was the size of a shoebox. Now they make real working phones that are as small as a charger box. The first phone call was made on 4/3/1973.

Paragraph 3: If you thought the phone was big you should see the very first computer it was 52 inches tall, 70 inches long, and 70 inches wide, and had up to 26 platters. And now they make computer screens that are as small as 13 inches. What a huge difference. Charles Babbage made the very first computer. It took him 1 year to invent the computer. And took him 3 years to build it.
