total of 53 pounds of gummy bears. There were two colors sold. The blue gummy bears were
priced at $4.50 per pound, and the red gummy bears were priced at $1.14 per pound. In all,

I'm not 100% sure but I think the red gummies were sold at 3.66lbs and the blue ones 10.85

Explanation:

I put x as the blue gummies and y for the red gummies.

4.50x+1.14y=53

you set the equation in terms of x

x=53-1.14y/4.50

you replace this new value of x into theoriginal equation as the value of x and solve for y, where you get y=3.66

since you now have the value of y, you plug it back in to the original equation and solve for x, where you get x=10.85
