You get yourself a new mirror so that you can admire yourself in the morning. When you open the box, you notice that it is only ½ your height. You think to yourself "This is no good! Now I can't see all of me!" You put it up anyway and realize that you can see your entire body in it. How can this be?

Answer: By keeping a distance away from the mirror.

Step-by-step explanation:

If it's a plane mirror, it's possible to see your entire body by keeping distance away from the mirror. The distance of the object away from the mirror is equal to the distance of the image away from the mirror.

Answer:

Because you stand at a distance from the mirror at which your entire body shows.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the mirror is a plain mirror, the distance of the object from the mirror is also the distance of the image from the mirror. Also since the magnification is 1 for a plane mirror because the height of the image equals the height of the object. Since the magnification always equals 1, for you to be able to see your entire body, you must stand at a distance from the mirror such that your height equals the image height.
