Based on your knowledge of the food chain, what type of consumers (primary, secondary, tertiary) is a deer? What is its role in the food chain (what does it eat and what eats it?

A deer is a herbivore, so their diet primarily consist of plants such as grass.
Grass are producers, and the deer are primary consumers, it can be eaten by an omnivore or a carnivore given the chance.

Should be noted that a herbivore can consume meat if need be, however it is neglected.
