we have:

-6x^2 - 2 - 3x=-8

6x^2 + 3x - 6 =0

The delta = 3^2 -4*6*(-6) = 9 + 144 = 153= 9*17

These 2 solutions are:


x_(1) =(-3+3√(17) )/(2*6) = (-3+3√(17) )/(12) =(-1+√(17) )/(4) \\x_(2) =(-3-3√(17) )/(2*6) = (-3-3√(17) )/(12) =(-1-√(17) )/(4)

So the d) is right.
