Determine the values of "m" and "n" so the number would be in scientific notation:

79,000 = m x 10^n

I couldn't find a multiplicacion sign, so x=times

Answer:

79,000= 79•10^3

Explanation:

so the amount of 0's = the power of 10.

In this situation there is 3 0's . so the power of ten will be 10^3

and then the number before the 0's will equal m

so m = 79 n = 3

And also (just as a side note) you can use the asterisk mark (*) as the multiplication symbol. on most keyboards the command is ctrl + 8. you can also use a bullet point (•) for multiplication symbol the command for that is alt + 0149
