Explanation:

1)

first, identify the angles and sides we know.

hypotenuse = 35cm

angle = 43°

as this is a right angled triangle, the angle opposite the hypotenuse (c) is always a right angle

∠c = 90°

as the angles of a triangle added together equal 180°, we can subtract the sides we know from that 180 to find out what ∠a equals

180 - 43 - 90 = 47

∠a = 47°

to work out the missing sides you will need to use the trigonometry ratios (sin, cos, tan)

to work out side b, identify the side you know (hypotenuse) and the side you are trying to find out (opposite). the trig ratio for hyp and opp is sin

sin = opp/hyp

replace these sides with their corresponding numbers/letters

sin = b/35

as the number we know is on the bottom of the fraction, we need to multiply it by the ratio and the angle.

35 x sin(43) = 23.8699... this number is often rounded to the nearest tenth.

b = 23.9cm

for side d, the side we know is the hypotenuse and the side we are trying to find out is the adjacent. the ratio for this is cos.

cos = adj/hyp

cos = d/35

multiply the number on the bottom by the ratio and the angle

35 x cos(43) = 25.597... rounded to the nearest tenth

d = 25.6

I hope this was helpful :-)
