if the decimal last digit is in tenths then you would put it over 10, if it’s in the hundredths you would put a 100, and if it’s in the thousandths you would put in in 1000

Ex: .35 the last digit is in the hundredths place so you would put 35/100 and reduce it as much as you can. Both 35 and 100 can be divided by 5 and so that leaves you with 7/20 and you can’t reduce it anymore so that’s your final answer.

Explanation:

Step 1: Write down the decimal divided by 1, like this: decimal 1.

Step 2: Multiply both top and bottom by 10 for every number after the decimal point. (For example, if there are two numbers after the decimal point, then use 100, if there are three then use 1000, etc.)

Step 3: Simplify (or reduce) the fraction
