x = 2.4

Explanation:

For this equation, you need to use trigonometry. we only need to use one of the two angles given and for this example i'm going to use the 60° angle. as we know the adjacent side and want to know the opposite side, we need to use the trig ratio tan
((opp)/(adj)) in this case, we will replace the adjacent side with

the square root of 2.

=
(x)/(√(2) )

as the side we know is on the bottom of the ratio, we need to multiply it by the ratio (tan) then the angle (in case you don't know, * means multiply)


√(2) * tan(60) = 2.44948... round to 1 decimal place

x = 2.4
