20+3x-15+x=27
I need to slove this step by step but don’t understand it

Answer:

x=5.5

Step-by-step explanation

first combine like terms- 5+3x+x=27, 5+4x=27

then move the constant to the right hand side and change its sign- 4x=27-5

simplify- 4x=22

divide both sides of the equation by 4- x=5.5

Add 3x and x together then subtract 20 on both sides then add 15 then divide by 4 to get your answer
