50 trials, the spinner landed on red 10 times,
on orange 16 times, on yellow 6 times, and

Answer:

0.88

Explanation:

Given:

A spinner is divided into 4 sections using the colours: red, orange, yellow, and green. After 50 trials, the spinner landed on red 10 times, on orange 16 times, on yellow 6 times, and on green 18 times.

To find: probability of the spinner not landing on yellow

Solution:

Probability is the chance of occurrence of some event.

Total number of outcomes = 50

Number of favourable outcomes = 50 - 6 = 44

Probability of the spinner not landing on yellow = Number of favourable outcomes / Total number of outcomes =
(44)/(50)=(22)/(25)=0.88
