If 1/3 gallon of paint covers 1/6 of a wall, then how many quarts of paint are needed for the entire wall?

8 quarts

Explanation:

1/3 of a gallon ---1/6 of a wall

x - 1 (all the wall)

x = (1 x 1/3) / 1/6

x = 1/3 / 1/6

x = 6/3

x = 2 gallons

1 gallons - 4 quarts

2 gallons - x

x = (2 x 4) / 1

x = 8 / 1

x = 8 quarts
