Answer:

  1. The answer is 12
  2. The answer is -4
  3. The value of x is 4

Explanation:

For both Q1 and Q2, you have to substitute the value of x into the expressions :

Q1.

x³ + x²,

Let x = 2,

2³ + 2² = 8 + 4

= 12

Q2.

x³ + x²,

Let x = -2,

(-2)³ + (-2)² = -8 + 4

= -4

For Q3, you have to move all the related variable to one side and unrelated value to the other side :

5x + 2 = 2x + 14

5x + 2 - 2x = 14

3x = 14 - 2

3x = 12

x = 4

Sqrt(2) ≈1.4

4+1.4=5.4

2. -2^2 = -4
Sqrt(-2) = -1.4 i -> 1

3. 3x + 2 = 14
3x=12
X= 4
