Answer:

x ≈ 1.6

Explanation:

tan37° =
(opposite)/(adjacent) =
(x)/(2.1)

Multiply both sides by 2.1

2.1 × tan37° = x, thus

x ≈ 1.6 ( to the nearest tenth )

Answer:

x ≈ 1.6

Explanation:

tan θ = opposite / adjacent

where θ = 37° , opposite=x and adjacent = 2.1

tan 37 = x / 2.1

tan 37 × 2.1 = x

0.75 × 2.1 = x

x = 1.58

x ≈ 1.6
