So you start off by focusing on your given information. You have 30 rows and starting with the beginning row you have 20 seats. Every row after that gains 2 seats. So your formula to find the amount of seats in the theatre is (20+2) * 30. (* indicates multiplication). This means there are 660 total in the theatre.
