This means that the number of possible outcomes for tossing the four coins is 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 = 16 possible results

A die has 6 sides. If the three six -sided dice are tossed, the number of out comes is 6 x 6 x 6 = 216 possible outcomes.

Since the events occur at the same time, the total number of possible outcomes when they all happen at the same time will be got by multiplying the possible outcomes of each event together.

That is,
