Answer: 6 feet

Hi, to answer this question we have to apply the next formula:

Volume of a cone= (1/3) π radius² height

Replacing with the values given and solving for r:

36π = (1/3) π r² 12

36π/ [(1/3) π 12]= r²

9 = r²

√9 =r

3 ft = r

Since:

Diameter = 2 x radius

Substituting r=3

D = 2x 3

D = 6 feet
